PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external display apparatus compatible with a specification revision (addition of function) of a mobile terminal and coping with a plurality of mobile terminals with different specifications. SOLUTION: A mobile terminal 30 and the external display apparatus 40 negotiate communication rules, and the mobile terminal 30 and the external display apparatus 40 according to the communication rules are provided to eliminate the need for functions for the external display apparatus 40 unique to applications. Further, in a form of embodiment employing the HTML for the communication rules, the external display apparatus 40 can simply be configured only through addition of a few functions to an existing web display terminal.
