PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deaerating a filled bottle closed with an elastic stopper, and an apparatus for executing the method. SOLUTION: According to the method for deaerating the filled bottle closed with the elastic stopper (10), the stopper inserted into an opening of the bottle is deformed to form an air discharge opening in a sealed area between the stopper and the bottle. The apparatus for executing the method comprises pressers (23, 24) arranged at least on one side of the bottle and acting in parallel to a plane horizontally traversing the opening of the bottle. When the stopper is inserted into the filled bottle, the air discharge opening creates a pressure balance between the inner space of the bottle and the air, preventing the pushing out of the stopper from the bottle by an excessive pressure in the bottle.
