PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a developing device having sealing structure where developer hardly leaks. SOLUTION: A sealing member 521 is provided along the shaft direction of a developer carrying roller 510 so as to prevent the developer from leaking from the space between the roller 510 and a housing 540, and is constituted so that its margin for adhesion on the end side in the shaft direction of the roller 510 is larger than that on the center side thereof.
