PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump air conditioner for preventing liquid refrigerant return to the compressor at low cost especially without damaging comfort. SOLUTION: A heat pump device with the compressor 1, a four-way valve 2, a condenser 3, a pressure reducing device 4, an evaporator 5, and an accumulator 6 sequentially mounted, forms a reverse cycle by switching the four-way valve 2 after an optional time when the compressor 1 stops during cooling or heating operation.
