PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic cylinder head gasket in which high sealing performance is brought out by forming an arrangement suited the characteristic of rubber material and selecting the bead shape. SOLUTION: The share ratio of the axial force of the bolt at the high- pressure part which is the gasket consisting of the metal plate and seals the periphery of the opening 31 of the combustion chamber is set to be high and the share ratio of the axial force of the bolt at the low-pressure part which consists of a water hole 32, an oil hole 33 and a blow-by gas hole 34 or the like is set to be comparatively low. Since the axial force of whole cylinder head gasket is suppressed low, deterioration of the seal member and stress relief are prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
