PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly light-resistant heat-sensitive color-developing composition, a method for the manufacture it, and a heat-sensitive recording material.

SOLUTION: The highly light-resistant heat-sensitive color developing composition can be obtained by the manufacturing method for codispersing a water-soluble polymer compound with an ultraviolet absorbing power near an electron- donative dye precursor. In addition, it is possible to obtain the highly light- resistant heat-sensitive recording material by forming the heat-sensitive color developing composition containing the water-soluble polymer compound with an ultraviolet absorbing power.
