SOLUTION: In a damper in which both ends of an attenuation device connecting its brace 9 and attenuator 8 in series are connected with columns, beams, etc., of a structure, gauge rod insertion holes 17a and 19c through which a gauge rod A is inserted to inspect whether or not the oil volume is appropriate are opened in the bracket flange 17 of the attenuator 8 and the spring seat 19 of an accumulator 2.
