PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly indicate an existence position of a grip body part even if the inside of a cabin gets dark and to serve also as a luminaire in the cabin. SOLUTION: The assist grip device 1 is provided with the grip body part 2 gripped by a passenger; and a base part 3 for fixing the grip body part 2 to a car body 4 and is provided in the cabin. The grip body part 2 is provided with a self light emission mechanism 7 comprising a light source 5 and a thin light-leading body 6a for leading the light of the light source 5 and emitting the light to the outside. In the self light emission mechanism 7, the thin light- leading body 6a emits the light by lighting on of the light source 5. By this light emission, the grip body part 2 can clearly indicate the existence position even if the inside of the cabin gets dark and can illuminate the inside of the cabin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
