<p>The invention relates to a needle protection device for a syringe and an injection device comprising a syringe and said protection device. The purpose of the invention is to provide maximum protection for the user against the risk of accidental post-injection pricks from the needle of a syringe which is being removed from the patient. More specifically, the invention relates to a needle protection device (2) for a syringe (1) comprising a needle (6), a tubular barrel (4), to which the needle (6) is fixed at the distal end thereof, and an injection plunger (8) which is mounted to slide in the aforementioned barrel (4). The inventive device comprises: a needle protector (22) which is disposed in an essentially coaxial manner in relation to the barrel of the syringe; a protector support (20) which is solidly connected to the barrel (4) or which is provided with means for same; a spring (24) which is disposed between, and presses against, the support (20) and the protector (22), said support (20) and protector (22) being mobile in relation to one another between a retracted protector position, in which the needle (6) of the syringe (1) is exposed and the spring (24) is at least partially decompressed; and means of unlocking the spring. The invention is particularly suitable for use in the field of disposable pre-filled injection syringes.</p> |
