OBJECT RECOGNIZING DEVICE, OBJECT RECOGNIZING METHOD, AND RADAR DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object recognizing device capable of eliminating a false image without recognizing an object on the road side.

SOLUTION: A first area 400 on the outside of a driver's own lane 500 is defined as an area surrounded by a boundary line 600 shifted from a boundary 110 in both ends of a detection area 120 in parallel substantially by a distance D, along which a vehicle traveling at a maximum relative speed usually expected between a driver's own vehicle 100 and it travels during one control cycle, the boundary 110 in both ends of the detection area 120, and a boundary of the driver's own lane 500. An objected not detected in the first area 400 but detected at first time in a temporary ghost area 40 and traveling along a target vehicle 200 at the same distance and the same relative speed is determined as a ghost 210 and eliminated.
