<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device having a mechanism for delaying the feeding of toner to a toner replenishing port, surely holding the mechanism and preventing the rise of toner concentration just after starting using the developing device so that an excellent image free from surface staining is obtained, and to provide an image forming apparatus on which the developing device is mounted. <P>SOLUTION: In the developing device, a rotary gear 103 rotating a toner supply member 11 provided in a toner storage part 8 has an engaging part 103a, and the rotary shaft 101 of the member 11 has an engaging member 102 engaged with the engaging part 103a, and has constitution that the engaging part 103a and the member 102 hold a non-engaged state at least before the developing device is attached to an image forming apparatus main body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
