<p>The aim of the invention is to achieve a particularly simple updating and transmission of driver modules (12) for a data transmission device of a technical system. To this end, a controller (10) for controlling a data exchange via a data transmission unit (2) is provided with a number of peripheral modules (4) connected thereto.
