PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber reinforced fabric provided by utilizing high quality carbon fibers without practical existence of an abnormal part caused by twisting or collapsing of warps and wefts, and to provide a prepreg utilizing the fabric as a constituent material and to provide a method for producing the fabric. SOLUTION: The fabric is obtained by weaving multi-filaments of carbon fibers in which the weft (2) has≤5 filaments having twisted or bundled parts having≤60% of average fiber bundle width and≥20 mm of length of the weft, per 100 filaments. Those fabrics are obtained by setting timings of clank angles at 260 to 290°when opening states of the warp (1) is parallel at the finish of the weft insertion, and carries out beating the weft (2) just after reaching the clank angles. The fabric is preferably wound up by continuous rotation of the woven cloth by a cloth winding roll. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
