PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multibeam light source unit which can obtain a high- precision beam through simple constitution without any stray light and a multibeam scanner which prevents an image position shift and deterioration in picture quality due to stray light by using the light source unit. SOLUTION: Provided are four LD chips (11), an optical waveguide substrate (12a) which guides laser beams (L1) emitted by the respective LD chips (11) through optical waveguides (Wa) and emits them, and a collimator lens (2) which collimates the laser beams (L1) emitted from the respective optical waveguides (Wa) into nearly parallel light beams. The light guide direction (m0) at the incidence end part (P1) of each optical waveguide (Wa) and the light guide direction (m1) at the exit end part (P2) are different and stray light (L0) emitted from the optical waveguide substrate (12a) in the direction m0 is spatially cut off by a mask (8).
