The invention relates to the use of an effective quantity of a honey substitute in a cosmetic or dermatological composition or for the preparation of one such composition. Said honey substitute is obtained by growing micro-organisms with sugars having a composition similar to that of honey. The honey substitute or the composition is intended to accelerate healing and to moisturise the skin.
