PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antitheft device which prevents the opening of an item case while the item case housing an item is displayed in order to prevent a theft of the item. SOLUTION: The antitheft device comprises the item case A housing the item (a), and a show case K having an insertion slot 4, through which the item case is inserted in and out freely, on one of peripheral faces thereof. Locking means S are provided on each face of the show case and of the item case that are opposed to each other, the locking means pushed back upon inserting the item case and engaged with each other upon completing the insertion, to prevent the pulling out of the item case from the show case.
