PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair-fixing apparatus which dispenses with a mechanical operating handle and is capable of the simple and quick operation in the fixation of a wheelchair to a floor in a vehicle, and in its disengagement. SOLUTION: An idle gear 6 which is engaged with a pinion 5 being attached to the output shaft 4 of a motor M which can normally/reversely rotate is provided. Then, an intermediate gear 7a which is engaged with the idle gear 6 is provided. Also, another intermediate gear 7b which is engaged with the intermediate gear 7a is provided, and a toothless section 10 is respectively provided on both intermediate gears 7a and 7b. Drum gears 12a and 12b which are engaged with the intermediate gears 7a and 7b are provided, and drums 14a and 14b are respectively attached to the drum gears 12a and 12b. Wires 20a and 20b on the distal ends of which a hook is connected are wound on the drums 14a and 14b in such a manner that taking up may be freely performed. Then, spiral springs 21a and 21b which urge the drums 14a and 14b in the taking up direction of the wires 20a and 20b are provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
