<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder, more commonly a liquid ejector, in which ink ejected idly by flushing operation can be prevented from depositing and growing on the surface of an absorber. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejector comprises a head member 4 having a first nozzle opening and a second nozzle opening, a passage for supplying liquid to the first nozzle opening, a passage for supplying a moisture holding agent to the second nozzle opening, a first ejection means for ejecting liquid at the first nozzle opening part, a second ejection means for ejecting the moisture holding agent at the second nozzle opening part, and a control body section for driving the first ejection means and the second ejection means based on ejection data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
