PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic welding tool that can prevent pseudo-adhesion between a tool such as a horn or an anvil which comes into direct contact with a material to be joined and a metallic material to be joined in ultrasonic welding, and that can continuously perform ultrasonic welding even for a thick aluminum material, and also to provide ultrasonic welding equipment using such tool. SOLUTION: In ultrasonic welding, a carbide layer is applied a on the surface of the steel base material constituting the tools in direct contact with materials P1, P2 to be joined, namely, a horn 5 and an anvil 6, at least on the surface of the part in contact with the materials P1, P2 to be joined.
