PURPOSE: A method for recording an error management program for analyzing and repairing malfunction of a magnetic disk recording device is provided to temporarily store error information, and to detect a valid address by reading an error management header sector located within a management sector zone, then to record the stored error information at the valid address, thereby reducing time for analyzing a cause of malfunction. CONSTITUTION: A micro controller checks a flag of an error(300), and detects whether the flag of the error is '0'(302). If not, the micro controller stores information on the generated error in a temporary memory(304). The micro controller applies a driving current to an actuator, and reads an error management header sector of an error management program zone(306). The micro controller reads a position corresponding to an address of the read error management sector(308). The micro controller detects whether the address is a valid value(310). If so, the micro controller sets the address to the first address, and records the generated error information(312).
