DATA INTERFACE DEVICE AND PERSONAL MOBILE INFORMATION TERMINAL HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A data interface device and a personal mobile information terminal having the same are provided to prevent stream of a display video from being cut by transmitting a video signal being received from an external source to a host at high speed. CONSTITUTION: A serial/parallel conversion unit(210) converts an input digital brightness signal and color signal into parallel data and outputs the data. A video signal conversion unit(230) converts the brightness signal and color signal being inputted as parallel data into an RGB signal. A scaler(220) reduces an RGB signal format adapted to a host display device. A video data selection unit(240) selects one out of the RGB signals being outputted from the video signal conversion unit(230) and the scaler(220). The first memory(250) is connected to a host local bus and stores an RGB signal being outputted from the video data selection unit(240). The second memory(260) is connected to a host local bus and stores the inputted digital audio data. A memory controller controls to access the memories(250,260) and informs a full of stored data to the host.
