COSMETIC COMPOSITION CONTAINING ALNUS JAPONICA EXTRACT

PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing an Alnus japonica extract having anti-inflammatory and moisturizing effect as a main component is provided. Therefore, it is low skin irritation to the skin and has an excellent function on preventing skin aging. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition contains 0.01 to 5% by weight of an Alnus japonica extract and 95 to 99.5% by weight of cosmetic material. Alnus japonica(Thunb.) Steud. is added 10 to 20 times with a solvent and extracted for 2 to 20hr at 50 to 120deg.C in an extractor with a cooling condenser. The solvent is selected from the group consisting of water, ethanol, methanol, butanol, ethylacetate, hexane, butylene glycol, propylene glycol, glycerine and a mixture thereof. A composition is formulated into skin lotions, lotions, nourishing creams, massage creams, packs, emulsion type foundation and nourishing essences.
