PURPOSE: A method for determining an optical recording power of an optical recorder is provided to determine an optimum recording power by the result of OPC carried out by the predetermined number of times after carrying out recording test by a predetermined sections of each ATIP(Absolute Time In Pregroove) of an OPC area. CONSTITUTION: A method for determining an optical recording power of an optical recorder includes the steps of dividing each section into several parts for an OPC area of the entire sections, carrying out the recording test for the divided parts in a direction to increase or decrease the power per the part(S103), and setting an average value of the plurality of OPC results as the optimum recording power if the difference among the plurality of OPC results is in a predetermined value range(S104-S110). |
