APPARATUS FOR IMPROVING IMAGE QUALITY OF IMAGE SENSOR

PURPOSE:An apparatus for improving the image quality of an image sensor is provided to design a digital filter of a color frequency area that people are capable of recognizing. CONSTITUTION:A digital filter formed of a three-dimensional FIR(Finite Impulse Response) filter is installed between a CMOS(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) image sensor and a color interpolating unit for filtering a people color recognizing frequency area from output of the CMOS image sensor to remove a frequency noise getting out of a people color recognizing area. A first inverse Z converter(61) shifts fourier-converted sum value. A first comparator(COMP1) compares a coefficient input from a look-up table with data input value inputted from the CMOS image sensor. A first adder(ADD1) adds up output of the first inverse Z converter and output of the first comparator. A second inverse Z converter(62) shifts output of the first adder. A second comparator(COMP2) compares another coefficient inputted from the look-up table with data input from the CMOS image sensor. A second adder(ADD2) adds up output of the second inverse Z converter and output of the second comparator. A third inverse Z converter(63) shifts output of the second adder for outputting a sum value.
