PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to achieve improved color purity and color temperature by permitting transparent electrodes to have different areas in each of discharge cells, while reducing an abnormal discharge. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a scan/sustaining electrode(44Y) and a common sustaining electrode(46Z) formed on an upper substrate(32); and an address electrode(50X) formed on a lower substrate(34). The scan/sustaining electrode and the common sustaining electrode have transparent electrodes(44A,46A) and bus electrodes(44B,46B). The transparent electrodes are made of a transparent electrode material having a high light transmittance, and have different areas in each of red, green and blue discharge cells. |
