PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic filter capable of effectively preventing corrosion of a base material being close to a glass seal and a filtration membrane and withstanding to washing with chemicals at a large number of times supposing on usage for a long period of time over 10 years or longer and having excellent corrosion-resistance. SOLUTION: The ceramic filter 10 is provided with the base material 12 having a partition wall 24 comprising a ceramic porous body and formed with a cell 18 by the partition wall 24; a filtration membrane 14 comprising a ceramic porous body having a smaller average fine pore diameter than a surface of the partition wall 24 and arranged on the surface of the partition wall 24; and a glass seal 16 arranged so as to cover at least an end surface S<SB>E</SB>of the base material 12. The glass seal 16 contains 55-65 mol% of silica and 1-10 mol% of zirconia, contains at least one kind of alkaline earth metal oxide selected from the group consisting of calcia, baria and strontia, and is constituted by non-alkali glass substantially not containing zinc oxide.
