PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply capable of preventing a device from breaking by DSP runaway. SOLUTION: This power supply unit comprises current value detecting circuits ISEN11, ISEN21 which detect current passing through the switching devices FET11, FET21 for driving transformers TR11, TR21 and are disposed on the primary side of TR11, TR21, a digital control part 3 for controlling the switching devices FET11, FET21, and a digital control part failure detecting circuit 7 for detecting failures in the digital control part 3, based on a current value detection signal.
