PURPOSE: A tilt control device for a disc player is provided to make pickup guide shafts move to and from a pickup supporting shaft and omit a stepping motor supporting plate and hinges of a pickup supporting plate, thereby simplifying the structure. CONSTITUTION: A tilt control device for a disc player includes a pickup supporting plate(16), a spindle motor(17) mounted with a rotation shaft in perpendicular to a top surface of the pickup supporting plate, a pickup(18) reciprocating between inner and outer peripheral parts of a disc(20) secured to the spindle motor, guide shafts(27) for guiding the operation of the pickup, a stepping motor(22) for applying a driving force to the pickup, a tilt sensor(23) mounted to a disc-facing surface of the pickup, and a tilt control unit for controlling an angle formed by an optical axis of the pickup and a reflection surface of the disc by the information transmitted from the tilt sensor. The tilt control unit includes interval keeping elements(40) such as plate springs mounted at both ends of the guide shafts for elastically keeping an interval between the guide shaft and the pickup supporting plate, cams(29) mounted to the pickup supporting plate for making an outer peripheral end of the disc come to and from the pickup supporting plate, and a tilt motor(24) mounted to the pickup supporting plate for applying a rotation force to the cams via a gear assembly(30).
