PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple-line bus duct which is low in impedance and magnetic field producing properties and high in strength against short-circuiting and makes it possible to house a plurality of lines therein, enhance power distribution efficiency, and save spaces in order to supply a large pulsed direct current to a plurality of electromagnets for driving an accelerator which are disposed at as small as 75-mm pitch in density. SOLUTION: The multiple-line bus duct is for supplying a large pulsed current to a plurality of accelerator-driving electromagnets. The bus duct is of insulating tight contact type and houses in a housing 3 a plurality of stages of a plurality of overlapped conductors covered with an insulator 2. The ratio of the thickness to height of each conductor 1 is so selected as to reduce the impedance between the conductors 1 in the upper and lower stages as much as possible. Thus, multiple lines in a plurality of stages, upper and lower, in difference phases wherein the amount of produced magnetic fields is reduced are constituted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
