PURPOSE:To change easily and quickly guide holes according to the diameter of a core wire by moving vertically a core wire guide having the plural guide holes between a pickup roll and a feed roller and between the feed rollers. CONSTITUTION:A core guide 22 is vertically movably disposed between a pickup roller and the 1st feed roller 5 as well as between the 1st and 2nd feed rollers 5. The guide 22 consists of a body 22b formed with plural rows of guide holes 22a having different diameters in a vertical row and rod 22d cutted with a screw 22c in the central part. Such guide 22 is screwed to the output shaft 26 of a pulse motor 25. When a set number of pulses is transmitted to the motor 25 by turning on an operating switch corresponding to the diameter of the core wire to be used, the shaft 27 is turned by as much as the rotating angle corresponding to said number, by which the guide 22 is moved upward or downward. The prescribed guide hole 22a is thus matched with the line through which the core wire passes.
