PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headphone output controller capable of controlling an output wherein a listener hardly misses a required surrounding sound during sue of a headphone and to provide a mobile phone using the same. SOLUTION: The mobile phone 1 related to this invention is configured to open a switching device 17R by detecting that a surrounding sound picked up by a microphone 2 is greater than a prescribed level and an output signal from a level comparator inverts from a first state into a second state and to close the switching device 17R by detecting that the surrounding sound picked up by the microphone 2 is smaller than the prescribed level and the output signal from the level comparator restores from the second state into the first state.
