<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of suppressing density reduction in formed image, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the developing device. <P>SOLUTION: A toner supply port 37 arranged between a storing chamber 34b for storing toner and a developing chamber 34b where a supply roller 33 and a developing roller 31 are arranged, is opened slit-likely, then, the toner is allowed to be carried by the pressurizing force of an agitator 36 from the storing chamber 34a to the developing chamber 34b and a limit is set to the passage of the toner from the developing chamber 34b to the storing chamber 34a, and as to the toner carried by the agitator 36 into the developing chamber 34b, the satisfactory quantity of the toner is secured in the developing chamber 34b, irrespective of the quantity of the toner in the storing chamber 34a. Thereby, since the developing roller 31 can secure a satisfactory quantity of the carrying toner, irrespective of the reduction of the toner in the storing chamber 34a, a density reduction in the formed image after leaving as it is suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
