<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical radio communication device having a simple structure, capable of readily accepting the installation of the device, subject to petty restrictions on the layout design of the device, capable of easily being made thinner, and having mechanical strength and constant and stable wide directional angle luminous intensity distribution characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In a light emitting device in which a plurality of light emitting elements are arranged, LED chips as the light emitting element are installed, each of the chips is tilted at a fixed angle for mounting with respect to an angle reference surface, respectively, and arranged on a level surface, the direction normal to each tilted surface being changed to a desired direction, respectively. At this time, the normal of each LED chip is arranged so as to be spaced at an angle obtained by equally dividing a circumference by the number of the LED chips on a level surface (on a substrate). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
