Product stream processing methods, systems, and mixtures are provided. A reaction product stream can have a first amount of a halogen exchange by product and an azeotropic composition of a halogen exchange reaction product and a halogen donating reactant. A majority of the halogen exchange by-product from the reaction product stream can be removed to produce a mixture. The mixture can include the halogen exchange reaction product, the halogen donating reactant, and a second amount of the halogen exchange by-product that is less than the first amount of the halogen donating reactant. A majority of the halogen exchange reaction product containing less than the azeotropic amount of the halogen donating reactant can be removed from the mixture. Exemplary halogen exchange reaction product, halogen donating reactant and halogen exchange by-product are CH2F 2, HF, and HCI respectively.
