PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial inland dry beach, in which a wet environment close to a natural inland dry beach is obtained, because moisture retention can be improved easily, sufficiently promoting the exchange of groundwater extensively over the whole inland dry beach. SOLUTION: In the artificial inland dry beach, which is composed of a high permeable material 1, in which groundwater is moved freely and a boundary with the offing 3 is partitioned by the shore 2 in the case of a low water and which contains an area section 11 consisting of a low permeable material 11a and delaying the movement of groundwater in the case of the low water, the area section 11 is arranged so that the shore direction is directed towards the high permeable direction that the exchange of groundwater can be promoted and the offshore direction is directed towards the low permeable direction that moisture retention can be maintained.
