PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make, specially, data track intervals of a magnetic disk drive narrow by reducing vibration of a spindle system including a disk which is excited by the fast rotation of the disk drive through air. SOLUTION: A spindle hub 2 on which an information recording disk is mounted is supported rotatably in a housing 43 and a ring-shaped member 12 whose surface faces the bottom surface 2d of the spindle hub 2 is provided to the housing 43 to constitute squeeze air bearing plates 2e and 12b by the bottom surface 2d of the spindle hub 2 and the surface 12b of the ring-shaped member 12 which faces it. Consequently, a damping force based upon viscous drag corresponding to the vibration of the bottom surface 2d of the spindle hub 2 can be obtained to reduce the vibration of the disk drive and therefore the vibration of the disk.
