摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system by which the phase and time difference of an optical receiver can be grasped always by finding the phase and time difference and appropriate compensation values can be provided for compensating the errors of the phase and time difference. <P>SOLUTION: The method of calculating the phase difference between a measured signal and a reference signal includes a step of obtaining a first denominator by measuring the first cycle of the measured signal, a step of obtaining a second denominator by measuring the first cycle of the reference signal, and a step of obtaining a first numerator by calculating the time spent until the succeeding pulse of a reference clock signal arrives after the first cycle of the measured signal ends. The method also includes a step of obtaining a second numerator by calculating the time spend until the succeeding pulse of the reference clock signal arrives after the first cycle of the reference signal ends, a step of obtaining a first quotient by dividing the first numerator by the first denominator, and a step of obtaining a second quotient by dividing the second numerator by the second denominator. In addition, the method also includes a step of obtaining a first positional value by deducing the difference between the first and second quotients.
