The invention relates to a system of generating three-dimensional figures having different shapes, including irregular and/or asymmetric figures, from flexible laminar materials. The inventive system consists in using a laminar part comprising a main part or body, at least one tongue which forms part of the aforementioned body, at least one groove which is disposed in said body and at least one inflexion point, such that the laminar part is curved or folded at said inflexion point and the tongue is passed through the groove. In this way, the desired bulge, depression or different flat effect is produced, giving volume to the laminar part, and a three-dimensional figure is formed. The inventive system has various applications such as toys, promotional items, decorative figures, teaching materials, etc.
