PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent harmful effects on a subject and an endoscope apparatus when an infrared ray cut filter is damaged. SOLUTION: A diaphragm 26 and a lamp 22 are provided on the endoscope apparatus. The infrared ray cut filter 25 is placed between the diaphragm 26 and the lamp 22, and a conductive film is formed on the surface of the infrared ray cut filter 25. Then, the conductive film is constituted as a part of a signal circuit for driving a dimming circuit 28. When the infrared ray cut filter 25 is damaged, the diaphragm 26 is positioned by a positioning plate 29 to place an opening part in a light path. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
