<p>A method for accurately determining the quantity of the substrate in a sample liquid by using a simple structure measurement system without causing a measurement error attributed to an inhibiting substance. In the method for determining the substrate in a sample liquid containing the substrate and a dissolved inhibiting substance by using an electrode system and a reagent system, (a) the sample liquid containing the dissolved substance and the substrate is fed to the electrode system including a working electrode and a counter electrode in the presence of the reagent system containing an oxidation-reduction enzyme and an electron carrier, (b) an AC voltage is applied to the working electrode to cause an oxidation-reduction reaction of the electron carrier, (c) the electric signal generated by the oxidation-reduction reaction is measured by the electrode system, and (d) the quantity of the substrate is determined on the basis of the electric signal.</p> |
