Box (1) for transporting medicines in packets (7) has a section which is transparent to IR or visible light. This allows the barcodes (2) on the packets to be read using an IR or laser bar code reader. Independent claims are included for: (a) a system for identifying medicines in a box as above comprising a bar code reader and a database of medicines; and (b) a storage and transport system for medicines comprising the box and the identifying system.
