Device for transporting individual sheets, especially sheet music, from a first stack (1) to a second stack (2) comprises a pressure plate holding at least the first stack. The sheets are arranged between a friction drive and the pressure plate. The pressure plate is pressed especially elastically against the friction drive. The sheets are transferred individually and as required from the first to the second stack on actuation of the friction drive. Preferred Features: The friction drive has two friction rollers (4, 5) arranged one behind the other in the transport direction of the sheet. The friction drive is arranged between the two stacks.
