PURPOSE: A fluorescent display is provided to shorten a development period and reduce costs, while achieving improved strength of grid. CONSTITUTION: A fluorescent display(20) comprises a plurality of conductive layers(25) attached to a lower substrate(23), and which has an upper surface on which a phosphor(28) is deposited; a line cathode(26) arranged on the conductive layers; a plurality of grids(27) spaced apart from the conductive layer and interposed between the conductive layer and the line cathode, wherein each of the grids has a plate type grid body(27a), a flange(27b) extended downward from the grid body, and feet(27c) extended perpendicularly from the flange so as to contact the lower substrate; and a frit glass(29) for fixing the feet of the flange to the lower substrate.
