EXTERNAL PREPARATION FOR WOUNDS

It is intended to provide an external medicine for wounds which has nonconventional convenience in treating skin damages accompanied by a large amount of an exudation such as bedsore, skin ulcer and burn and yet has such advantages as observed in conventional medicines having been employed in treating these wounds. The external medicine for wounds is characterized by containing a water-soluble polymer and a crosslinking agent and being in the form of a powder or an ointment. After absorbing an exudation, the medicine undergoes phase transition from a sol to a gel and thus exhibits effects of adsorbing and eliminating necrotic tissues and protecting the wound face. Subsequently, it can continuously absorb the exudation. After using, it can be easily separated substantially as a mass, thereby achieving high therapeutic effects and convenience.
