<p>A process for welding two plastic components, where the primary component has a connection member that can melt when in contact with the heated part of a secondary component, comprises heating a connection region of the secondary component and then pressing the two components together until at least part of the connection member melts. The connection region of the secondary component is warmed using infra red radiation.
