The invention relates to an information system (IS) comprising a device (PS) for mixing digital television program contents with interactive applications, a transmission network (BN) for sending said program contents and interactive applications, a set-top box (ST) for receiving the program contents and interactive applications, and a television set as a display unit (AE). The information system (IS) further comprises a remote control and a webcam (WEB) as input units. Inputs are then forwarded via an interactive network (IAN) of the information system (IS) according to the invention, at least two back-end servers (AS, PM), e.g. an interactive application server or a proxy server for multimedia over IP, being linked to the interactive network (IAN). The back-end servers (AS, PM) are interconnected and are used for evaluating and logically processing the inputs. At least one back-end server (AS) is connected to a content management system (CMS), by means of which the interactive applications are parameterized and personalized. The disclosed digital television-based information system (IS), which comprises a webcam (WEB) in addition to at least two back-end servers (AS, PM), allows interactive applications such as multimedia applications to be user-specifically implemented in an easy fashion, especially in special areas of use such as hospitals, hotels, etc. |
