<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide device for a polygonal telescopic boom preventing torsion and backlash and capable of providing high strength. <P>SOLUTION: An outer boom member and an inner boom member are formed by hexagons with a substantially U-shaped axially perpendicular cross sectional shape comprising an upper edge, right and left side edges, right and left lower oblique edges and a lower edge. It is composed so that roller members protruding into an outer boom member interior and guiding extension and contraction of the inner boom member by respectively abutting on right and left lower oblique edge outer faces of the inner boom member are swingably pivoted in tip part right and left lower oblique edges of the outer boom member in the same plane perpendicular to an axis of the outer boom member, and centers of swinging of the roller members with respect to each bracket are deflected more than width direction centers of the right and left lower oblique edges of the inner boom member toward corner part sides wherein the right and left side edges and the right and left lower oblique edges of the inner boom member intersect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
