摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an appropriate smoothing using a filter by always accurately determining the size of the filter provided for smoothing which is applied for cardiac contour data. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging diagnostic apparatus for cardiac function analysis has a center line method analysis unit 21 which analyzes cardiac functions based on the center line method using telediastolic and telesystolic cardiac contours generated from ventricular images of the heart of a subject. The analysis unit 21 has an ED cardiac contour righ-angle line generation part 22. The generation part 22 has a means which draws a right-angle line orthogonal to the telediastolic cardiac contour while extending to the telesystolic cardiac contour from each of equally divided points on the telediastolic cardiac contour and the means determines the length of the major axis of the cardiac contour and the smoothing with a filter size proportional to the length of the major axis obtained is applied for the data of the cardiac contour. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
