<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing condition display unit for notifying a user by which setting unit the setting items displayed on a display means can be set, a printer, and a display method for setting items. <P>SOLUTION: The printer comprises a display unit serving as a screen for an operation panel such that a list screen 50 for determining printing conditions is displayed on a setting screen 10 of the display unit. A plurality of setting items are displayed on the list screen 50 such that a mark M1 is displayed for setting items 52-57 to be set per image, and a mark M2 is displayed for setting items 58, 59 to be set per printing job.
