<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a health supplement having various health-promoting and keeping effects possessed by an earthworm to be produced at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The dried earthworms in a required amount are bodily inserted into a special container having a medium solution comprising a salty water, a propolis solution, an essence solution obtained by fermenting and extracting rice embryos and soybeans, etc., and for imparting nutrient or taste, and the earthworms are heated and pressurized so as not to destroy the cells of the earthworms to soften the earthworms in the special container to the nearly same softness as a live earthworm, and to sufficiently impregnate the earthworms with the medium solution. The earthworms restored like the raw earthworms are washed with freshwater to remove harmful materials attached to the skin. The washed earthworm is separated to guts and skin by an earthworm skin-gut separator. The separated skin is dried and sterilized by a drier. Amino acids are extracted from the skin of the earthworm with impregnated medium solution, and the extracted amino acids are processed to a granule, a powder, a liquid or the like to provide the objective health supplement using the earthworm as a raw material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
